GMO-Free Europe Event 2022

On November 17th 2022, from 10-13 o’clock, the 2022 edition of the GMO-free Europe Event will take place in the European Parliament, hosted by Greens/EFA group and organized by the European Initiative on Save our Seeds and IFOAM Organics Europe. In this 3-hour event, we want to look at the issue of the new Genetically Modified Organisms and the new legislation on New Genomic Techniques (NGTs) that is planned for the second quarter of 2023, from a scientific, economic, and political perspective. We aim to highlight the array of stakeholders that have a critical view towards a relaxation of the regulatory framework of NGTs and bring together stakeholders from the agri-food sector, NGOs, scientists, as well as Members of the European Parliament and the European GMO-free Regions.
